Ahead of Volunteers’ Week next week, we’re exciting to announce that we will be relaunching our Saltire Awards Ambassadors programme, starting with recruiting new members!

A Saltire Awards Ambassador is a young person (aged 12 – 25 years old) who has achieved their 500 hour Saltire Awards certificate for volunteering in their community. Their role involves helping promote the Awards, and supporting other young people to achieve their hours and certificates. This can be at your school, with your volunteer group, or in lots of other ways. Being an Ambassador can also be useful when developing your CV, and applications to further education, by helping you demonstrate the skills you have learned as a volunteer.

We will be running training later this year for new Ambassadors to learn about all the ways they can support other young people making their way through the same journey they did.
