Are you aged 12-25? Do you currently volunteer or ready to begin volunteering?
The Saltire Awards are Scottish Government’s way of celebrating, recognising, and rewarding the commitment, contribution and achievements of young volunteers in Scotland. Young people gain nationally recognised certificates, signed by Scottish Government Ministers, for the different amounts of volunteering they do. They can also earn up to 3,000 Young Scot Reward Points with each Saltire Award achieved.
With a My Saltire Account, it is really easy to keep track of all volunteering activity by logging your hours. You’ll then be ready to apply for a Saltire Award certificate and start gaining recognition for the great things you are doing! To find out more including how to sign up, please visit the Saltire website.
Saltire Awards are not just for the volunteers themselves – if you are an organisation/group that recruits young volunteers, you can work with the award to recognise and celebrate their achievements. To find out more about the Saltire awards including how to encourage and support the award within your organisation and with your young volunteers, please visit the information for groups section on the Saltire website (linked for your convenience).
