Safer Communities Forum: Change of Date

The next meeting of the Safer Communities Third Sector Forum will now be held on Thursday 2^nd November 2017, a week later than the previously advertised Thursday 26^th October. As always, the meeting will take place 10am – 12pm at the CVS Falkirk office, Unit 6, Callendar Business Park, Falkirk, FK1 1XR.

FDAMH Training Academy Sessional Trainers Vacancies

The Falkirk and District Association for Mental Health (FDAMH) Training Academy are recruiting Sessional Trainers. The position is £15 per hour, plus expenses and travel payments; there are no set hours. Previous experience or knowledge of mental health training is essential. As this is an ongoing recruitment, there is no application deadline.

Dial-a-Journey Finance and Operations Manager Vacancy

Dial-a-Journey Trust is currently recruiting a Finance and Operations Manager. The position is for 35 hours per week (plus on-call rota working), with a wage of £26,000 – £28,000 per annum. Applicants must have a financial qualification, or experience of financial and staff management. The closing date for applications is 5pm on Monday 5th November.

The Importance of Young Trusteeship in Scotland Event

The Association of Chief Officers of Scottish Voluntary Organisations (ACOSVO) and the International Voluntary Service (IVS) have organised a campaign asking at least 250 charities in Scotland to pledge to recruit a young person (26 years or under, as defined by Year of Young People 2018) to their board. They are also holding a free event on Thursday 15th November in Edinburgh.

Localgiving’s Magic Little Grants Fund

Localgiving’s Magic Little Grants Fund provides grants of £500 to local charities and community groups delivering physical activities in their communities, which help overcome barriers to participation. They are keen to receive applications from groups operating in the Falkirk district. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 31st October.
