NHS Forth Valley and their partners are running their festive alcohol safety campaign, “Rethink Your Drink”, throughout December again this year.
The campaign’s advice includes not drinking more than 14 units of alcohol per week (spread over at least 3 days), not mixing alcohol with medication, and drinking plenty of water. It also recommends trying to have days without alcohol, and highlights how important it is to recognise when you tend to drink more, eg. during celebrations or stress.
For pregnant people, zero alcohol is the safest option.
