LinkLiving’s Quilts Make Homes initiative is looking for residents across the Falkirk area, and throughout Scotland, to make patchwork quilts, throws and cushions for the young people LinkLiving supports.
LinkLiving supports young people who have been homeless, and those who have experienced the care system, to live independent lives; the Quilts Make Homes initiative aims to help make their new properties feel more like home.
They are specifically looking for double and single bed quilts, throws and cushions in designs appealing to young people (aged 16 – 25 years old), and for children up to 8 years old.
Quilting groups are also invited to take part – any interested in selecting LinkLiving as their charity of the year should contact Sheena Stone by phone: 0330 303 0302.
Quilts can be handed in (9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday) or send by post to the following address: FAO: Sheena Stone, LinkLiving, Link House, 2c New Mart Road, Edinburgh, EH14 1RL.
If you plan to hand your quilts in, please contact LinkLiving in advance and let them know.
Alternatively, to hand quilts in to LinkLiving’s Falkirk or Kirkcaldy offices, contact the team by email: enquiries@linkliving.org.uk
