The next Public Protection Lead Officers Webinar will take place on Wednesday 30 September 2026, 12:30pm – 2pm, via Microsoft Teams.

This session will focus on home fire safety, specifically on helping those working across services and organisations to recognise fire safety risk factors, understand who may be particularly vulnerable, and know when and how to make a referral for a Home Fire Safety Visit. The webinar will also look at how partners can work effectively with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to help reduce risks and keep people safe in their homes and communities.

Speakers will include Ben Carlin, Group Commander with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, and Gemma Ritchie, Adult Support and Protection Lead Officer in Falkirk.
