Public Health Scotland has launched a new online learning hub focused on Child Poverty.
The hub is aimed at those working in local authorities, the NHS, Health and Social Care Partnerships (HSCPs) and the third sector, and anyone interested in reducing child poverty in Scotland, with materials designed to be accessible whatever someone’s level of knowledge, at a Foundation level.
The hub aims to support understanding about child poverty, and identifies some key actions that staff (particularly those in local authorities and NHS Boards) might take to support families living on a low income.
The hub is comprised of 5 relatively short modules which can be worked through alone or in a team, and learners can dip in and out of the hub dependent on their learning needs.
The hub is free and can be accessed through the PHS Virtual Learning Environment.
To enrol, or for further information, please visit the learning hub itself (linked for your convenience).
Alternatively, for further information, contact the PHS hub team by email: phs.wdteam@phs.scot
