For organisations who wish to develop their policies, the ACAS (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration service) website provides a wealth of useful and free information. We always recommend that you consult an HR specialist. Some organisations may be fortunate to have such a person on their Board or Committee, but we appreciate that you may not have access to free advice, nor funds to spend on hiring someone.
Organisations are welcome to download any of our policies, which are available on the CVS Falkirk website, to help to formulate your own policy documents. These policies have been written specifically for our own needs, and should be adapted to suit your own organisation’s needs, taking advice as above.
We regret that we cannot offer such advice, as HR is not an area in which we specialise. This is not an exhaustive policy list, it only includes those we need ourselves. We have no other templates to offer than those listed. There are other websites where you can access policy templates, some of which make a small charge.
As best practice, we recommend consulting with staff before implementing a new policy or changing an existing one, bearing in mind that first and foremost your policy must comply with relevant law, and all of your policies must be easily accessible to all staff, be that online or in print.
