The Baring Foundation has announced that it has two new funding programmes open for applications through its “Strengthening the Voluntary Sector” grants programme.
During 2015, the theme for its grant making will be to support the effective use of the law and human rights based approaches by the voluntary sector to help tackle discrimination and disadvantage.
Funding of up to £30,000 is available for training, education and capacity building to understand how their objectives can be achieved through use of the law or human rights based approaches. The deadline for applications to the training, education and capacity building fund is midday on the Friday 18th December 2015.
Funding of up to £150,000 per project is also available for applied projects. The aim is to create new capacity within the voluntary sector to tackle discrimination and / or disadvantage and to safeguard the independence of the voluntary sector in addressing these issues. The deadline for applied projects is the 13th November 2015.
