Our Place Camelon Open Show Case Event

Our Place Camelon is holding an open showcase event on Sunday 20^th May, 12pm – 4pm at the Ochiltree Club, Ochiltree Terrace, Camelon, FK1 4LT.

Attendees will have the opportunity to find out about the Our Place Camelon project, meet local people from Camelon who are setting up a Tenants and Resident Association, and find out about what’s happening in Camelon.

Refreshments will be available, and there will also be activities for young people.

Scottish Social Services Council Member Positions

Scottish Ministers are looking for 4 new members of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). Members need to spend a minimum of 5 days per month on Council business, and will be appointed for up to 3 years and may be re-appointed. Applicants should have some flexibility to attend more depending on the Council’s ongoing business needs. The deadline for applications is Friday 14th June.

FDAMH Adult Carers Support Worker Vacancy

Falkirk District Association for Mental Health (FDAMH) are currently recruiting an Adult Carers Support Worker. The position is 35 hours per week, with a salary of £23,000 per annum and a fixed term contract of 2 years. The deadline for applications is 5pm Thursday 30th May.

Best Start Grant School Age Payment

Scotland’s new Best Start Grant School Age Payment will open for applications on Monday 3rd June.

Care Words Service Volunteers

The Care Words service is looking for new volunteers to help expand its free service run in libraries throughout the Falkirk Council area, helping older people share their stories through shared reminiscence and reading sessions. The aim of these sessions is to reduce isolation and loneliness sometimes experienced by older people in day and residential care.
