In February, the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) is launching its Listen Up, Speak Up campaign nationally, aimed at empowering everyone to know that to do if they are ever worried about a child or family.
Listen Up, Speak Up is for people who may not work with children or families, but may encounter them regularly – either through their work or personal lives.
As part of the campaign, the NSPCC is offering free training for the third sector, via an in-person workshop (lasting one hour), or their 10 minute online digital training (linked for your convenience).
The Listen Up, Speak Up training covers:
- the signs a child might be at risk, and steps people can take to help
- how to approach difficult conversations to help keep children safe
- who to contact if there is ever concern about a child or their family
Training workshops are currently being booked in for delivery from mid-February onwards.
