Falkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre has announced further “Care with Confidence” Zoom sessions for unpaid carers in Falkirk.
Support is available for carers who would like to attend but are not sure how to get online, or how to join a Zoom meeting, by contacting Donna Mulder via the details below.
Sessions include:
- “Reducing Our Energy Costs” with Home Energy Scotland and Scottish Water, on Tuesday 3rd November, 10:30am – 12:30pm
Covering the simple things people can do every day to conserve water, and the energy used to heat it, and how can have a positive impact on the environment and energy bills.
Around one fifth of the average household’s heating bills are spent on heating water. Home Energy Scotland and Scottish Water will talk about how using water more wisely can help keep energy bills down.
- “Diabetes: How to Reduce Your Risk”, on Tuesday 10th November, 10:30am – 12:30pm
Carers can learn about the different types of diabetes, and find out more about the myths and FAQs, including how they can reduce their own risk of diabetes.
