Scottish Ministers and NHS Scotland are looking for new Non-executive Whistleblowing Champions for every NHS Board in Scotland.
The aim of this role is to further promote a culture of openness and transparency in NHS Scotland. Non-executive Whistleblowing Campions (NWC) will have no operational role in any Board, but will contribute towards the promotion and delivery of a positive working culture within NHS Scotland.
Ministers particularly want to hear from people with a diverse range of skills, backgrounds and knowledge, and from groups under-represented on public bodies; previous board experience is not required, as all training and support will be provided.
NWCs will have a key role in supporting the delivery of the Board’s strategic direction, in addition to contributing to scrutinising performance. They may also be required to participate on a Health and Social Care Partnership Board.
The position will require around 8 hours per week. Remuneration pay is £8,416 per annum.
The deadline for applications is 12pm on Monday 12th August.
