NHS Forth Valley has launched the #ScrubChallenge, a fun movement activity to help people of all ages learn the correct hand washing procedures, as recommended by Health Protection Scotland and the World Health Organisation (WHO).
They have also added in some additional moves to help make the activity more challenging and fun. They are asking as many people to take part via social media as possible.
Hand hygiene is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of flu, norovirus and COVID-19.
There are 2 “scrubs”; a simpler version, and a more challenging version for people, their friends and family, or community groups to try. People are asked to record and then share their scrub via Twitter, using the hashtag #ScrubChallenge (where you can also see what others have done).
They are also encouraged to nominate someone else to take on the challenge.
To learn the scrubs, or for further information (including how to record and tweet your scrub), please visit the NHS Forth Valley website.
