Strathcarron Hospice are hosting their Mud and Stuff Challenge on Saturday 19 September and are shouting out for Volunteer Marshals to help them with their event. This is a great opportunity to get involved in: guiding participants round the course, providing advice on navigation of the obstacles and, with the emphasis of the day on fun, you may even have the chance to dispense ‘surprises’ such as custard, beans. spaghetti & more….
Mud & Stuff is a family muddy ocr challenge for age 9+, with the emphasis very much on fun. Particpants will be challenged to complete the course which consists of a number of purpose built obctacles – some to be climbed over, crawled through, under etc, there are also tyre and log obstacles and a variety of ‘foodstuffs’ have been donated to add to the fun of the obstacles! Participants (and possibly marshals given the nature of the event!) could find themselves a bit mucky by the end of the day so it may be advisable to bring a towel for a shower and change of clothes! Once the races are finished there will be a Big Bash and BBQ with live music – volunteers are welcome to stay on for this. Bottled water and sweeties will be provided for marshals, and they are welcome to bring a packed lunch or food is available to buy onsite from the Cloybank coffee shop throughout the day.
