The Money Guiders Network Scotland is taking part in the UK Money Guiders Network Conference, part of Talk Money Week, which runs Monday 8th November – Friday 12th November.
The Network is offering 2 free practitioner sessions during the week, on:
- Tuesday 9th November, 11:30am – 1pm
- Thursday 11th November, 11:30am – 1pm
The sessions will focus on the impact the COVID-19 on money guidance and building financial wellbeing post-lockdown. They are designed for frontline practitioners delivering money guidance in their roles.
Money Talk Week is Money and Pension Service’s (MaPS) campaign to get people talking about money, including everything from pocket money to pensions.
In May 2021, the (MaPS) launched 4 Money Guider Networks to support practitioners from a range of sectors across the UK. Prior to the conference, forums, workshops, and webinars have been running in each country of the UK. The conference will bring together the 4 Network partners to explore the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on money guidance and its importance for economic recovery.
In Scotland, the Network is being developed by the Improvement Service. The other partners are: Quaker Social Action (England), Hafal (Wales), Reed in partnership (Northern Ireland).
The UK Money Guiders Network Conference is designed for frontline practitioners who provide any type of non-regulated money guidance as part of their support, directly or indirectly and whatever their sector, job or organisation’s mission (including not-for-profit, public service and benefit organisations, along with housing associations and healthcare providers).
