Mentor Volunteers

The Green Action project are currently looking for Mentor Volunteers.

Mentor volunteers provide invaluable support in assisting the project managers in delivering the projects on-site, each week. Although the programme is focused on practical conservation/landscaping-type work, mentor volunteers do not need any prior experience.

Green Action looking are looking forvolunteers with patience, an interest in the outdoors and a willingness to help and support their young people.

This opportunity takes place on Thursdays from 10am-4pm in Falkirk and is open to those aged 18 and over.

LinkLiving are currently recruiting the following roles, based in Grangemouth as part of a new service: Team Leader: 37.5 hours per week, with a salary of £26, 171 – £30,160; Support Workers: full- and part-time positions available (with shift patterns including evenings, weekends, overnight and public holidays), and a salary of £17,550 – £19,990 (pro rata) per annum. “Developing A Volunteer Policy” FREE Workshop

On Thursday 1st August, CVS Falkirk is running a FREE workshop on “Developing a Volunteer Policy”, 1:30pm – 3:30pm in Bo’ness Library, Scotland’s Close, Bo’ness, EH51 0AH. The workshop will cover what a volunteer policy is, why it is important, and what to include in your organisation’s volunteer policy.

BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme

The BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme supports children and young people up to 18 years old who are facing difficult circumstances. The programme is currently open for applications from referral organisations who will be able to apply for grants on behalf of families and young people. Applications must be completed by a registered referrer who is part of an organisation supporting the family or young person, and capable of assessing their needs.

Food Activity Grant: Open for Applications

The NHS Forth Valley Nutrition and Dietetic Health Improvement Team has announced their Food Activity Grant is open for applications. Funds range from £50 for short term pieces of work, and up to £400 for larger projects. Applications will be considered from organisations across Forth Valley, particularly those addressing inequalities within vulnerable communities. The deadline for applications to the current round of funding is Sunday 15th September.
