Calling all volunteers with an interest or experience in cooking!
We recently saw a fantastic response after our last urgent appeal and are hopeful that we can help another one of our local groups in need.
A lunch club based in Grangemouth, running on Tuesdays and Thursdays, is looking for volunteers to help straight away with catering for around 30 older people each day.
Volunteers will be cooking “plain hearty foods” such as soup, macaroni, roast beef, chicken, and sweet dishes like rice pudding and crumble. Commitment is flexible, and the lunch club is happy to discuss volunteers attending on a rota basis.
In addition to cooking volunteers, the lunch club is always looking for helpers, and welcome anyone who can donate their time to assisting in the dining hall, engaging with guests, helping with clearing up, and washing dishes, amongst other helpful tasks.
If you think this role is for you, please contact the CVS Falkirk Volunteering team by phone: 01324 692000, or email: info@cvsfalkirk.org.uk
We’ll then put you in touch with the lunch club, and you can get started in your new role.
