The Scottish Government has £7.8 million funding available for Scottish commuters, businesses and Hackney cab drivers under the Low Carbon Transport Loan Fund.

Loans are interest free and individuals can apply for up to £35,000, while businesses can access up to £100,000, to help them reduce their transport-related emissions. The fund is going to support purchase of electric vehicles and a range of other sustainable transport projects, including installing vehicle telematics, video conferencing and cycling facilities.
The loans can be repaid over 6 years. Commuters and private motorists can apply for the loan through Home Energy Scotland by calling 0808 808 2282. Businesses can apply for the loan by contacting their local Energy Saving Trust transport advisor on 0800 0931 669.
