Link Housing have the following vacancies available within their organisation:
- Cleaning and Clearance Operative: to provide general cleaning and clearing services to their void properties and to carry out minor repairs to tenanted properties. This post is subject to a basic Disclosure Scotland check in respect of regulated work with adults. The applicant is required to have a full UK driving licence, have experience of working in a team and have the ability to work on their own initiative with minimum supervision. Experience is desirable, although full training will be provided. The closing date of this position is 12 noon on Monday 8th June 2015. Interview’s will be held on Wednesday 17th June at New Mart Road, Edinburgh.
- Programme Management Officer: will contribute to the effective delivery of a comprehensive annual programme of Planned and Cyclical Maintenance. This will include providing Contract Administration and Quantity Surveying including the preparation of Bills of Quantities and tender documentation and managing the delivery of projects in a customer focused manner. They will ensure the delivery of projects within timescales, budgets and to defined quality standards including the preparation of bills of quantities and tender documentation and will undertake project management where external consultants are engaged on specific contracts. The candidate will require some knowledge of budgetary control/financial management and be educated to a minimum of HNC in a recognised building qualification either Quantity or Building Surveying. Have a well developed knowledge of the Contract Administration and Project Management roles.
Must be able to demonstrable knowledge of the principles of customer care and Equal Opportunities legislation. Previous experience of the Quantity Surveying role including the preparation of Bills of Quantities and tender documentation is required. The closing date for this position is Noon on Wednesday 10th June 2015. Interviews will be held on Friday 19th June 2015 in Falkirk.
- Housing Officer (3 Posts): The post is being advertised as an open ended contract because there is no defined end date. Link PSL provide a service to Edinburgh City Council and the service is tendered for every 3 years. If Link were unsuccessful in securing the future tender then the terms and conditions of employment would be covered by TUPE legislation and the job would transfer to the new service provider. The candidate is required to have a Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Have an excellent standard of education, a working knowledge of Housing Benefit, Housing Legislation and knowledge of Welfare Benefit and reforms. Practical experience of dealing with a wide range of housing management issues including tenancy sustainment, arrears, repairs & maintenance, transfers, allocations and Short Scottish Secure Tenancies, with the ability of interpreting leases and contracts. The closing date for this position is 9am Monday 8th June 2015.
