LGBT Youth are working across the Forth Valley area to support young people in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities aged 13 – 25 and provide different groups for them to attend.

There are opportunities to join youth groups, meet new people and receive support, along with the opportunity to talk to a youth worker online.

KSC Senior Support Workers Vacancies

Kingdom Support and Care (KSC) are currently recruiting for 2 Senior Support Workers. The position is 39 hours per week at a salary of £21,794 (plus a payment of £70 per sleepover shift), based in Falkirk. The Deadline for applications is 12pm on Friday 17th August.

FVMSN Volunteer and Casework Coordinator Sessional Worker Vacancy

Forth Valley Migrant Support Network (FVMSN) are currently recruiting for a Volunteer and Casework Coordinator Sessional Worker. The role involves contributing to the work and development of the organisation by providing advice, information, support, practical assistance, and representation to migrant workers during the transition period out of the European Union. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Tuesday 24th July.

Eat the Street Volunteers

Forth Environment Link (FEL) are holding an “Eat the Street” event at their community hub, 199A – 203 High Street, Falkirk, FK1 1DU, on Saturday 4th August, 11am – 4pm, and looking for volunteers to get involved. The event theme focuses on nature and the environment. FEL are particularly looking for volunteers to assist on the day, and to get involved beforehand as part of the Common Thread project.

Community Grants Scheme: Third Round Open

The NHS Health Promotion Service has announced the 3rd round of funding for their Community Grants Scheme. The grants can be used to support work around mental health and wider health inequalities work across organisations and community groups. Small grants of up to £400 are available for health improvement projects within communities. This round is open until January 2019.
