The Later Life Information Centre in Falkirk is currently running low on information leaflets of local activities and services for older people, and would welcome any from local groups.
Located at 25 Newmarket Street, Falkirk, FK1 1JH, the centre is Scotland’s first dedicated information centre for older people.
It is manned Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, and is a joint collaboration between Age Scotland and Solicitors for Older People Scotland (SOPS).
They invite anyone involved with a group, club or activity specifically for, or open to, older people, who would like their leaflets displayed to drop by at any time.
The centre hosts a variety of information sessions relating to older people, ranging from health and wellbeing, avoiding scams, information for veterans, diet and exercise, dementia support, legal issues, and clubs and groups.
They also have a community room, with room for 8 people, which is available for meetings, and is free to third sector groups and clubs. There is free wifi, and tea and coffee-making facilities.
For further information, please contact the centre by phone: 01324 620882.
