This week is your LAST CHANCE to book your place at “Getting Your Message Across to Influence Local Planning and Decision-Making,” a FREE training session held on Thursday 10th October, 9:30am – 12:30pm at the Forth Valley Sensory Centre, Redbrae Road, Camelon, FK1 4DD.
This training, co-hosted by Children in Scotland and CVS Falkirk, will explore how communication methods can help organisations and groups promote their work, the impact they make, and help build skills and confidence in bringing community voice to the forefront.
The training aims to:
- explore the role of communications and consider good practice in line with the National Standards for Community Engagement
- help attendees learn about core communications approaches and methods
- help attendees learn to use methods that are engaging, appropriate and inclusive when planning for communications
- have the opportunity to share the communication challenges attendees face, and look at some of the different methods that can be used with a range of stakeholders at strategic levels
Training is open to anyone working or volunteering in the third sector who are looking to use their work with children, young people and families to influence local services planning and decision-making at strategic levels.
Places are free to third sector groups and organisations; however, an administration charge of £20 will apply if you fail to turn up or do not cancel your booking before Thursday 3rd October.
