The second round of the Household Hardship Fund from Corra Foundation is now open for applications.
Groups can apply for up to £5,000 to directly provide local families and individuals in need with cash or vouchers.
Like the previous round in November – December 2022, it is expected that applications will come in very quickly, and Corra Foundation strongly recommends that those interested apply as soon as possible. Once applications worth the total amount available have been received, the Fund will close to new applications.
Successful applicants from the previous round are not eligible to apply again. This is to ensure that the money supports as many different communities as possible.
However, if groups had started an application on the system, but had not submitted it before the fund was paused, they will be able to go back to that draft application using their login details. Groups who applied in the previous round and did not receive funding can re-apply if they have been able to fully address the feedback given as to why the first application was not successful.
The Household Hardship Fund is administered by Corra Foundation on behalf of the National Lottery Community Fund. Its purpose is to provide small grants to charities, organisations and community groups across Scotland, who can pass the funding on directly to families and individuals on low incomes.
Groups can apply for up to £500 – £5,000 to provide families and individuals with cash or vouchers to meet pressing needs such as food, fuel, household items or clothing.
All funds must be passed on to families and individuals by Friday 30th June.
Groups should only apply for the amount of money they are confident they can distribute by that point.
The Fund aims to reach groups and organisations who:
- have strong local relationships with people in the community
- are already supporting people in their communities on low incomes
- have an annual income of less than £100,000, not including any COVID-19 emergency grants the organisation received
