Nominations are now open for Local Heroes for this year’s Hoolie in the Hydro event from An Aird Events.

Hoolie in the Hydro is an annual celebration of traditional Scottish music, with this year’s theme recognising Local Heroes who make a lasting impact on their communities. Local Heroes can be people who volunteer, support young people, champion local culture, music or sport, or who go above and beyond to help others, making a real difference. Finalists will be invited to attend the Hoolie in the Hydro event at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on Saturday 12 December 2026, with entertainment including the National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland, and the Scottish Police and Community Choir.

The closing date for nominations is Sunday 4 October 2026.
