Home Energy Scotland are holding a free training event on funding and support available for householders vulnerable to fuel poverty, on Friday 21st September, 10am – 2pm at Changeworks, 36 Newhaven Road, Edinburgh, EH6 5PY (with doors opening at 9:30am).
The event aims to empower attendees to help the people they support be comfortable in their homes and tackle fuel poverty in Scotland, and is designed for those with a basic understanding of fuel poverty issues in Scotland. This particularly includes professionals who work with and support householders vulnerable to fuel poverty (especially the elderly, families with young children, and householders with health conditions).
As a result of the event, attendees should have a better understanding of:
- funding support available from Home Energy Scotland for energy efficiency improvements, including Scottish Government grants
- Home Energy Scotland’s services to tackle fuel poverty and how to access support
- the journey for people referred to Home Energy Scotland, using real customer stories from their partnership work
