Home Energy Scotland is a free, impartial energy advice service from Scottish Government. They are keen to help householders whose home heating and energy use will be affected by staying home during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially those who are required to work from home using IT equipment.
Advisers are available to help with any questions people may have around staying warm and saving energy whilst self-isolating. They also have the latest information from energy suppliers, who have agreed emergency measures to ensure vulnerable people and those with pre-payment meters do not get cut off during the current situation.
Advisers can also help with practical advice and energy saving tips to help ease pressure on household finances. Their energy advice service is open as usual, operating by phone Monday – Friday, 8am – 8pm, and Saturdays 9am – 5pm.
