Funded by Falkirk Environment Trust, Forth Environment Link is working with Falkirk Community Trust at the Helix Central Nuttery as part of the Fruit for our Futures Project.
They are seeking volunteers to aim to enhance the nuttery by planting new trees to help diversify the species and variety of nut trees.
They will be preparing the ground by digging holes on 11th December for planting at the Helix Central Nuttery on 12th December at the Helix Project.
The planting will be led by Andrew Lear. They will meet up at the Visitor Centre for 10am for a 10.30am start on both days, finishing at 2pm on Friday and 3pm on Saturday at the latest.
Volunteers are asked to please bring a packed lunch, waterproofs, strong shoes or boots. Forth Environment Link can supply gloves and have a limited amount of spades, but it would be great if you could bring along your own if you have one.
If you would like to volunteer please contact a member of the CVS volunteering team on 01324 692000 or e-mail info@cvsfalkirk.org.uk
