Held in Our Hearts is a Pregnancy, Baby and Infant Loss Support charity; throughout the last 40 years, the charity has remained unique in recognising that everyone’s journey after loss is different and their services have always been flexible to reflect this. The majority of their staff are bereaved parents themselves so understand the impact of baby loss; and whilst they recognise that not all parents will need counselling, they want to make sure that they can support families through making access to the right support easier.
Previously predominately based in the Lothians, they have now expanded their services into other areas including Forth Valley where they now offer bereavement counselling and their pioneering Hospital to Home project – an opt out service bridging the gap for bereaved families from the clinical care setting to care in their communities. These services are offered at no cost to families.
Within this expansion, they are looking for a room to host their weekly sessions of face to face bereavement counselling to families in the area. They are looking for space on a Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday; ideally for a block of time across those days to engage with multiple families back-to-back and make the best use of the space.
If any organisations across Forth Valley feel this would be a suitable project to host within their venue, or would like to hear more about the services they offer, please get in touch via the following contact information:
