Fedcap Scotland has a few spaces remaining on their Falkirk health project, “Healthy Minds, Inspiring People”, which is due to start next week, week commencing Monday 23rd January.
Supported by Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) and designed to address health and social inequality in Falkirk, the 8 week programme is aimed at people aged 18 – 30 years old, who have learning difficulties and disabilities, and experience mental health challenges.
The programme aims to help participants develop coping strategies for better mental health and wellbeing, through:
- 8 one hour face-to-face sessions with a qualified Health and Wellbeing Adviser, using evidence-based coping strategies to build and develop confidence and resilience, and develop social connections
- access to a range of workshops on topics such as Anxiety Management, Confidence Building, Sleep and Routine and Resilience
- support with positive next steps
