Applications are now open for the 2017 GSK IMPACT Awards, which provide funding and free training for charities working to improve people’s health.
The awards, now on their 20th year and managed by The King’s Fund, with funding from GlaxoSmithKline, recognise that the third sector plays a key role in health care, including promoting healthy lifestyles, tackling inequalities and improving access to health services. The also recognise the support offered by the third sector in self-management of health conditions, integration and care across organisational boundaries, and providing advice, information and advocacy.
The awards are open to UK charities that work in a health-related field, are at least three years old and have a total annual income of between £25,000 and £2 million.
The GSK IMPACT Awards are judged by a panel of judges, and provide national recognition for the winning charities. They also provide organisations with access to a free leadership programme, designed specifically for health charities, which is provided by The King’s Fund. After taking part in the training, organisations can then join our network of health charities which supports their ongoing service and organisational development.
The closing date for applications is Wednesday 21st September 2016.
