The Alec Dickson Trust provides grants of up to £500 to help small groups of young people (aged under 30 years old) run a volunteering or community service project in their local area.
The Fund seeks to support projects that enhance the lives of others, particularly those most marginalised by society such as the homeless, those with drug dependency problems, and people with disabilities, amongst others.
Projects should have a clear benefit to others in the wider community, and should encourage volunteering amongst younger people.
The Fund Trustees meet four times a year to consider applications.
