Google Digital Garage Bus at Link Academy

Link Living are hosting the Google Digital Garage Bus on Tuesday 7^th August, 10am – 4pm at the Link Academy, McKinven House, George Street, Falkirk, FK2 7EY.

Google will deliver digital courses on Staying Safe Online, Building a CV, and Emails for Work.

There will also be a BBQ in the garden at the Link Academy, along with IT classes for those who would like to see the Learn My Way site and gain their City & Guild’s Online Basics Qualification on the day. There will also be opportunities for dynamic programming training.

CHAS Home Support Volunteers: Upcoming Training

Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) are looking for new Home Support Volunteers, and are commencing their next training evening course on Wednesday 22nd May. The course takes place across 4 consecutive weeks at Rachel House, Avenue Road, Kinross, KY13 8FX. Home Support Volunteers support families and siblings of children with a life-shortening condition with practical tasks, or with fun activities for the children.

Crowdfunder Scotland Free Introductory Workshop

Crowdfunder Scotland, in partnership with Kelvin Valley and Falkirk LEADER, are running a FREE introductory workshop on Monday 20th May, 6pm – 7pm at the Glenbervie Golf Club, Stirling Road, Larbert, FK5 4SJ. This introductory session is for anyone who wants to learn more about crowdfunding as a method of fundraising and its potential uses for local projects. There will also be discussion around match funding available for projects via Crowdfunder, and how groups can access this.
