Forth Valley Migrant Support Network (FVMSN) are currently recruiting a self-employed Learn Together Project Co-ordinator.
The position is 12 hours per week across Falkirk and Grangemouth, with a wage of £9 per hour and a fixed term contract until August 2019.
The Learn Together project aims to reduce women’s isolation and help them participate fully in their new community. The successful candidate will work on a weekly women’s drop-in and will set up and facilitate a peer support group. These new drop-in sessions will include informal English workshops, advice seminars and hands-on activities.
The role will include working with the Management Committee in the delivery and evaluation of the drop-in sessions, as well as outreach to engage new women to be referred to the project.
A more experienced candidate who has previously worked with community groups and is keen to support a dynamic local organisation working with vulnerable people would be suitable for the role; however, this is also an opportunity for a candidate who is looking to gain project management and project development experience, or is interested in community empowerment.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 24th August. Interviews will be held on Tuesday 4th September.
Please note that due to the nature of this role, it is reserved for women only, under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
