Furniture Shop Volunteers

Strathcarron Hospice Furniture Shop is looking to recruit volunteers for the shop in Stenhousemuir.

Working in the charity shop will involve lots of different types of skills; volunteers will be lifting heavy goods to and from the delivery van, cleaning down furniture, advising customers and using the till.

Circle Family Outreach Worker Vacancy

Circle, in collaboration with Addictions, Support and Counselling (ASC), is currently recruiting a Family Outreach Worker for their Women’s Outreach Service in Stirling. The position is 36 hours per week, with a salary of £24,376 – £28,253 per annum and a fixed contract funded until Tuesday 30th June 2020. Applicants should have a qualification in health, education, social work or social care, and have relevant experience supporting women and families affected by substance use. The deadline applications is Monday 21st October.

Forth Bridge Accordion Band Volunteers

Forth Bridges Accordion Band is looking for volunteers over 8 years old to play the accordion with them. Forth Bridges Accordion Band is a family-orientated, cross-community marching band. Volunteers will receive free band tuition, uniform and an instrument. The band practices on Monday evenings at 6:30pm at Bo’ness Public School, Stewart Avenue, Bo’ness, EH51 9NL.

CATCA Bulb Planting Volunteers

Communities Along the Carron (CATCA) are looking for volunteers to help them plant bulbs in an outdoor community space on Sunday 27th October, 12pm – 3pm at Nailer Park, Nailer Road, Camelon, FK1 4DA (opposite Camelon Community Education Centre).

NHS Education for Scotland Trauma Framework Training Events

NHS Education for Scotland is holding 2 “Transforming Psychological Trauma Framework Trauma Skilled Level” training events on Tuesday 19th November at the Grange Manor Hotel, Glensburgh Road, Grangemouth, FK3 8XJ. The first session will run 9:30am – 12:30pm, and be repeated 1:30pm – 4:30pm. Places are extremely limited and booking is essential; the deadline for booking applications is Tuesday 29th October.
