Vinspired, the Volunteering Charity, has announced that its Cashpoint grants scheme is once again open for applications. Grants of up to £500 are available to give young people (aged 14-25) the opportunity to improve their local community.
The funding is available to individual young people (or small groups) who have developed a project idea and will run the project themselves. Projects must be run on a volunteer only basis. Organisations are not eligible to apply.
For example, ‘Huyton Bulldogs’ was set up to offer people the chance to play rugby who had never previously done so in the area of Huyton, Liverpool. Another example is a healthy eating project, teaching young Muslim boys to learn how to cook healthy meals.
There are no closing dates for applications and grants will be awarded on a continuous basis until all available monies are exhausted.
