Under the Trees is now offering “Forest Kindergarten and Wild Passport Training” in Falkirk District, with sessions beginning on Monday 1 September 2025, 10am – 2:30pm, for 5 weeks.
Thanks to support from EDF Renewables Burnhead Moss Education & Training (BMET) Fund, there are 5 fully funded places available, open to people living or working in the following areas only: Avonbridge, Drumbowie, Limerigg, Standburn, and Slamannan.
Places are also available for people outside these areas, which cost £950 each; payment plans are available.
This is the first of 2 accredited training cohorts, with the second running in January 2026 (also with 5 funded places available). Both courses are accredited and aim to equip participants with the skills and confidence to lead outdoor learning sessions. Optional monthly online support sessions will be available to help participants complete their portfolio, which will be due for Cohort 1 in March 2026. No prior experience or qualifications are required.
The training is a combination of practical and written work, delivered outdoors at Under the Trees’ woodland site in Jawcraig Woods, Slamannan.
For further information, please view or download the course poster (linked for your convenience), or visit the Bookwhen page; please note that those paying for their place are able to book through this page.
