It is with regret that we announce that we will not be holding our Annual Volunteering Awards Ceremony this year, or in the foreseeable future. It is a decision that has been difficult for us to come to, but given the current economic climate it is not possible for us to continue to run this event.
Hosting the Volunteering Awards Ceremony for last 17 years has been such a pleasure and joy, recognising volunteers of all ages for their service to volunteering, with many reaching milestones of 5, 10, 25 and 40 years. We have been fortunate to hear some incredible success stories of how volunteering can have a life-changing effect on people, and have seen how volunteering can be rewarding, inspiring, exciting and challenging, but most importantly, we have seen how it is enjoyable.
Recognising the contribution of your volunteers is very important, and we hope that the various events we’ve had over the years will inspire your organisation to hold your own volunteer celebration. To this end, we have put together some ideas we hope will inspire you to hold your own celebration.
As part of the Volunteers’ Week celebrations, we will also be providing organisations with our Celebrating Volunteering Certificates and Long Service badges for their volunteers. If you are interested in participating in this initiative, please complete the attached form and send it by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Alternatively, you can send it by post to: CVS Falkirk, Unit 6, Callendar Business Park, Falkirk, FK1 1XR. All forms must be received before before Friday 5th May.
Your personalised certificates and badges will be ready to collect from our offices week commencing Monday 22nd May.
Thank you all again for your support and participation in the Volunteer Awards Ceremony over the years.
