Free sanitary Products
I am getting in touch because you or your organisation have expressed interest in receiving supplies through project.
As you may know, FareShare is the UK’s largest charity fighting hunger and food waste and Cyrenians runs the Edinburgh FareShare redistribution centre—delivering surplus food to frontline charities and community groups. We have recently received funding to enable the redistribution of sanitary products to vulnerable women and girls and low-income households across the country.
By using our network of FareShare Community Food Member organisations as well as other local organisations who work with vulnerable individuals, we are working to reduce the prevalent issue of period poverty and the anxiety experienced by those who struggle to find the money to buy these essential items.
This project will make available free sanitary products for all our Community Food Member organisations as well as any other frontline organisation with service users who could benefit from them.
If your group or organisation has service users who could benefit from this project, please reply to this email with your specific needs, and we will arrange a plan for distribution to you!
This service is free and an excellent opportunity for all organisations to break down taboos and barriers in order to start tackling this common and persistent problem in Scotland.
I look forward to hearing from you
