Forth Valley Top Toes provides a personal foot care service to older and disabled people who have no underlying medical conditions but are unable to cut their own toenails. Good foot care can be a contributing factor in reducing falls and improving health and wellbeing for older people. They have clinics running in:
- Falkirk Community Hospital
- Bonnybridge Health Centre
- Meadowbank Health Centre
- Stenhousemuir Health Centre
- Bo’ness Health Centre
- Clackmannanshire Community Healthcare Centre in Alloa
In each clinic, Reception Volunteers provide on-site reception for the clinics, welcoming clients, making new appointments, collecting donations and providing a friendly face for the clinics.
Volunteers should be aged 16 years old or over, with excellent communication skills, and an open, friendly and welcoming personality. They should also be compassionate and understanding, trustworthy, and able to observe strict confidentiality.
Expenses can be claimed, at either 45p per mile, or on production of ticket for public transport.
