This is your LAST CHANCE to book your place at this year’s Forth Valley Third Sector Conference: Growing Your Communities, with bookings closing at 5pm on Wednesday 6th February.
The second Forth Valley Third Sector Conference, held in partnership between CVS Falkirk, CTSI and SVE, will take place on Wednesday 13th February at Alva Academy in Clackmannanshire. The conference is open to anyone working or volunteering for third sector organisations or groups across Forth Valley, as well as local partners.
Tickets are £10 each, covering the cost of lunch provided by a local charitable organisation.

The conference includes a range of workshops on the day, including
- Crowfunding: A New Way of Funding Third Sector
- The Importance of Young Trusteeship in Scotland
- GDPR: Where Are We Now? from Maureen Falconer of the Information Commissioner’s Office
- Gift Aid and the Gift Aid Small Donation Scheme, delivered by HM Revenue and Customs
Anna Fowlie, the new Chief Executive of the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO), will be speaking on workforce issues faced in the third sector, while in the afternoon Karyn McCluskey, Chief Executive of Community Justice Scotland, will talk about the part communities play in offender repayment.
They will be joined on the day by the Deputy Director for Scotland of the Big Lottery, Neil Ritch, and Paul Reddish, Chief Executive of Project Scotland, along with 12 other leading speakers in their fields, covering a wide range of workshops, all based around this year’s theme: “Growing Your Communities”.
In addition to speakers and workshops, attendees will have access to surgeries from Firstport and the Association of Charity Independent Examiners (ACIE), a panel discussion, marketplace, and lots of networking opportunities.
