The Forth Valley Rape Crisis Centre (FVRCC) is looking for new volunteer board members, including a new Treasurer.
FVRCC was established in 2015/16 as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), and provides free and confidential information, advocacy and support across the Forth Valley region to anyone aged over 13 years old who has been affected by any form of sexual violence.
Board members have the opportunity to drive FVRCC’s future strategy, and the ability to have a direct impact on how services are delivered across Forth Valley.
Applicants do not need to have experience as a board member, as FVRCC believes skills, enthusiasm and perspective are more important.
Ideally, those interested in the Treasurer role should have a good understanding of financial administration, the ability to analyse and interpret financial data quickly and accurately and also have demonstrable experience of what strong governance looks like).
For further information on the Treasurer role, please view or download the role description.
The board meets quarterly, with meetings lasting approximately 2 hours. In addition, board members are expected to sit on a relevant sub-committee (which again meets quarterly). Any extra time which can be given to assist with ad hoc events and issues will be gratefully appreciated.
The deadline for applications is 12pm on Friday 10th January.
To apply, please submit a CV and a short supporting statement (outlining what you would bring to the board and your interest in it) to Rachel Maitland, Board Chair, by email: chair.fvrcc@gmail.com
