The Forth Valley Migrant Support Network are currently recruiting a Bi-lingual Migrant and Refugee Support Sessional Worker.
As part of their Supporting Migrants and Communities in Transition Project, the position is for 10 hours per week (which may include some evening and weekend work, dependent upon the needs of the Project), and is based in Grangemouth and Falkirk with a wage of £11 per hour.
Applicants should have the ability to speak another language, and relevant training in Welfare rights for migrants and people coming from abroad, along with experience of providing high quality advice to vulnerable individuals.
The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact for migrants and refugees regarding the project’s services, and facilitate access for clients to project information and services. They will also provide information and advice to clients, along with practical and emotional support, and signpost and refer clients to other relevant agencies. They will also be required to make appropriate notes after support sessions and update electronic and paper files, amongst other roles.
