Forth Valley Community Focus (FVCF) CIC are currently looking for volunteers.
They have a variety of roles available, including:
- Food Collection Volunteers (morning and evening slots)
Food collection volunteers pick up donated food from different retailers and bring it back to the FVCF CIC office. A full driving licence and access to a car is essential.
Morning collection:
- Tesco, Falkirk Retail Park: Monday mornings
- Tesco Express in Camelon: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday mornings
Evening collection:
- Greggs, Falkirk High Street: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings
- Greggs, Lint Riggs, Falkirk: Tuesday evenings
Morning volunteers will collect the food at 8am, to be at the office no later than 8:30am. Evening volunteers should arrive for collection no later than 5:25pm. Travel will be reimbursed at 45p per mile.
- Food Larder Volunteer
The Food Larder Volunteer opportunity takes place Monday – Friday, 8:45am – 12pm at the FVCF CIC office. The volunteer is responsible for customer service at the front desk, dealing with customers using the Food Larder, and keeping the Food Larder area tidy.
- Volunteer Cleaner
The Volunteer Cleaner will be responsible for carrying out general cleaning duties in the office, such as vacuuming, cleaning desks, and washing dishes, with the role taking place Monday – Friday, 3:30pm – 4:30pm.
Travel expenses for the Food Larder Volunteer and Volunteer Cleaner roles upon provision of evidence such as a bus or train ticket.
