Want to become a ‘MOVer’ in the orchard community? Have skills and expertise to share? Then the Master Orchard Volunteer Programme (MOV) is for YOU!
Forth Environment Link (FEL) is working with Helping Britain Blossom to offer a nine-month programme of training and support from January to September 2016, to start developing a new crop of community volunteers dedicated to sharing their knowledge and experience.
The Master Orchardist Volunteer Programme, funded by Helping Britain Blossom and the CSGN Development Fund 2015, is all about helping local people create, restore and access orchards – to enjoy and use for good in their own communities.
Volunteers are asked to please bring a packed lunch, waterproofs, strong shoes or boots.
Forth Environment Link can supply gloves and have a limited amount of spades, but it would be appreciated if volunteers could bring along your own if possible.
There are no age restrictionsfor this opportunity although all children must be accompanied by an adult.
There will be a two-day induction weekend and they ask that 9 months commitment be given.
If you would like further information regarding this opportunity then please contact the Volunteer Team on 01324 692000 or email info@cvsfalkirk.org.uk.
