Forth Bridges Accordion Band Annual Concert

Forth Bridges Accordion Band would like to invite you to their Annual Concert. The evening will feature the band performing a selection of Scottish Trational Music and Old Time Favourites. Programmes will be available with the words of the songs, should you wish to sing along.

Tickets are now available at Falkirk Steeple Office by calling 01506 506850. Tickets cost £6 or £5 concession. They hope you can join them at this event to hear the bands performance and find out about all the successes they have had in the last year. Proceeds are in aid of bands funds so they can continue to “provide our local community with the performance and teaching of music”.

FDAMH Training Academy Student Marketing Volunteer

Falkirk District Association for Mental Health’s (FDAMH) Training Academy are currently looking for a Student Marketing Volunteer. The role would be suitable for those looking to develop their existing digital marketing and social media skills, as well as gaining experience in a small social enterprise, with travel and subsistence expenses paid.

SIS Retail Academy 2019 Open for Applications

Social Investment Scotland (SIS), who this year attended Falkirk Funders Fayre as one of our first time funders, have 20 fully funded places (travel and personal expenses not included) at their Retail Academy 2019, based in Falkirk. The deadline for applications is Sunday 17th March.

Consultation Event on Support for Young People With Chronic Conditions

Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS) and Young Scot are holding a consultation event on Thursday 21st March, 10am – 2pm at the Link Academy, McKinven House, George Street, Falkirk, FK2 7EY. The event provides young people with the opportunity to be involved in a national activity, which they can add to their CV.

Disabled Living have released their March newsletter, along with the latest issue of “Kidz to Adultz: Focus on the Transitional Years”. The March newsletter includes articles on cervical screening for women with a disability and information on grants for children and adults, while “Kidz to Adultz” looks at the transition to adult care, and accessible gaming and driving.
