The Forestry Grant Scheme (FGS) and the Agri-Environment Climate Scheme (AECS) are now open for funding applications from farmers, crofters and land managers across Scotland.
Both Schemes are part of Scotland’s Rural Development programme
(2014 – 20).
The FGS has £252 million funding available to support woodland creation projects and promote the sustainable management of existing woodlands. Applications will be accepted throughout 2015.
The AECS has £350 million funding to promote land management practices that protect and enhance Scotland’s natural heritage, improve water quality, manage flood risk, mitigate and adapt to climate change and help to improve public access and preserve historic sites.
The deadline for AECS applications is 12th June 2015.
