Food Standards Scotland has published its new guidance document, Providing Food at Community Groups and Charity Events.
The guidance document is intended for those holding a charity or community event, such as a street party, a school fair or fundraiser barbecue. It is not intended for registered food businesses.
When preparing and providing food, it is important to consider all the food safety implications of the event to keep everyone as safe as possible. The guidance lists information on food safety, preparation, allergens and serving food to vulnerable groups.
