Instead of Christmas light switch-on ceremonies, Falkirk Delivers is hosting a period of entertainment across the Falkirk area, aiming to allow everyone the chance to enjoy the usual festive illuminations and tree while taking advantage of their town and local area.
For town centres throughout Falkirk, they have organised:
- a giant Snow Globe, where people can have picture taken while they stand inside, providing a memorable photo
- Santa’s Grotto, with the chance for children of all ages to meet the man himself, and his elves
- Elf Day with Santa’s elves Harry and Hugo, and their selfie station (booking required)
- Falkirk Community Trust will also be running a special Christmas workshop at the local libraries while the elves visit. Booking in advance is essential, as there are limited spaces. While a responsible adult does need to be present for the whole session, places only need to be booked for the children attending. To book, please contact each of the libraries for the dates listed below.
- Santa’s Post Office, located near the Falkirk Steeple and open both weekends before Christmas to encourage visitors to write and receive personalised letters to Santa Claus and local nursing homes
- Christmas Games with Anna, Elsa, and other members of the Frozen team, with games including a Christmas Tree Ring Toss and the Snowball Challenge
