Falkirk’s Mental Health Association (FDAMH) is recruiting a qualified Counsellor or Therapist for Carers.

The position is 35 hours per week, with a salary of £25,000 – £29,000 per annum (dependent on experience), and a one year fixed term contract (with the possibility of extended funding).

The successful candidate will join FDAMH’s established Counselling Service. The main case load for the will be carers; however, there may be some other client work from FDAMH’s core counselling waiting list to be supported as and when required.

This post will be a delivered via a hybrid working model, delivering face to face counselling from FDAMH’s building with remote working (Zoom) to suit the needs of individual clients as required.

Applicants should be qualified to Diploma level in a Counselling therapeutic discipline, with membership of a professional body (eg. COSCA, BACP, BABCP, etc). Applicants must also have experience of counselling people aged 16 years old and over. Applications will be accepted from all counselling modalities, eg. humanistic, psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or integrative approach.
